Position Summary

This position offers a unique succession planning opportunity for someone eager to advance into a dedicated & key purchasing role within approximately 18 months. During this development period, the successful candidate will receive hands-on training in all aspects of the purchasing function while gaining valuable exposure to customer service & order entry, sales support, plant administrative operations, and cross-functional business activities across the organization.

Location: Onsite (New Hope)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Salary: $60,000-$70,000 annually

Type: direct hire with full benefits!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn and support purchasing activities for materials, supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, orders, and deliveries.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain purchasing records.
  • Assist with vendor performance tracking and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
  • Follow purchasing and supplier management procedures, including ISO standards.
  • Provide backup support for customer service functions.
  • Enter, update, and track customer orders within the ERP system.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and communicate order status updates.
  • Assist with invoicing, quotes, and customer communications.
  • Provide administrative support, documentation management, and vendor administration.
  • Support daily plant operations, special projects, and cross-functional business needs.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in purchasing support or procurement; experience in these areas is preferred: customer service, order entry, administrative support.
  • Exposure to purchasing processes, vendor coordination, inventory management, or purchase order management.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
  • Manufacturing experience is a huge plus.
  • Comfortable supporting purchasing, customer service, sales support, and administrative functions during the training and development period.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow into a dedicated Purchasing role within approximately 18 months.
